Patterns, Motifs & Designs of Kypseli
Snehta residency in collaboration with Focus on Fokionos and Agora Kypselis will be running two creative workshops led by current artists-in-residence at Snehta, Eleanor Lines and Katherine MacBride. Both workshops will be running on the 3rd and 4th of December from 11 - 3 at Dimotiki Agora Kypselis Zakinthou 2, Athina 113 61 The workshops will allow participants of all ages to take part and better understand the area's architecture and design through creative processes. Eleanor Lines will be running a stamp making and printing workshop by appropriating shapes from ornate doorways in Kypseli to inspire new designs. Katherine MacBride will be giving an introduction to making clay moulds for plaster sculptures inspired by local architecture. Και τα δυο εργαστήρια θα τρέξουν ταυτόχρονα στις 3 και 4 Δεκεμβρίου απο τις 11πμ - 3μμ στη Δημοτική Αγορά Κυψέλης: Ζακύνθου 2, Αθήνα, 113 61 Τα εργαστήρια θα επιτρέψουν σε συμμετέχοντες όλων των ηλικιών να αντιληφθούν καλύτερα την αρχιτεκτονική και τα στοιχεία design της περιοχής. Η Eleanor Lines θα τρέξει ένα εργαστήριο για τυπώματα και στάμπες, αξιοποιώντας φόρμες και στοιχεία απο τις πόρτες εισόδων των κτιρίων της Κυψέλης. Η Katherine MacBride θα κάνει μια εισαγωγή στα καλούπια πηλού για γύψινα γλυπτά εμπνευσμένα απο την τοπική αρχιτεχκτονική. Και τα δύο εργαστήρια θα εξοικιώσουν τους συμμετέχοντες σε ειδικές τεχνικές ώστε μετά να μπορούν να εργαστούν και αυτόνομα. Τα εργστήρια είναι δωρεάν.
